ABOUT JENNIFER -  MEDIA  -  REGISTERS  -  PHILOSOPHY

With over fifteen years of postgraduate study and practice in the field of Western complementary, traditional Eastern and naturopathic medicine, Jennifer has the privilege of bringing integrated models for the promotion of health, and the prevention and treatment of dis-ease, into the public arena. In her work as a journalist and author, her main aim is to simplify information in a safe, balanced and practical way so that the general public can use it to benefit their wellbeing. Her multi-disciplinary approach has benefited numerous patients in clinic, where she works in conjunction with Doctors and other Complementary Medicine specialists to give her patients the best 'complementary' treatments for their dis-ease, thus creating a powerful system that encourages healing on all levels.

With the emphasis on 'Integrated Medicine' during her MSc in Complementary Therapy Studies, Jennifer has been in a position to promote a dynamic exchange of information and share her wealth of knowledge of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) with doctors and specialists and continues to this day to learn from the research and clinical insights of both orthodox consultants, mainstream scientists and from specialists in the field of CAM.

Jennifer is the new columnist for the widely read and hugely popular 'What's the Alternative' page in The Sunday Times Style magazine and also for the 'On our Minds' in Conde Nast's Easy Living magazine. She has been both researcher and presenter for numerous alternative health series and segments on national and regional radio and television for GMTV and the BBC. Over the years she has lectured on a wide range of health-related subjects at Health & Natural Medicine Conventions and academically for Westminster University and the College of Naturopathic Medicine.

She is the author of an 11 track meditation CD Seasons of the Soul and the books Nine Ways to Body Wisdom, blending natural therapies to nourish body, emotions and soul (Harper Collins), which is a complete practical guide to help you understand your body and what its symptoms and emotional states represent according to both Eastern and Western medicine and The Natural Care Detox Handbook (Dorling Kindersley). The Detox handbook is an innovative programme that combines the latest research in functional medicine with natural and Chinese Medicine and is a safe, effective and manageable programme that has little in common with any "quick-fix" detox plans as it aims to nourish then detox gradually, working in tune with the body, mind and spirit.
