Q. I have a two year old girl, and I am giving her Eskimo fish oil twice/three times a week. What other supplements would you recommend? I would love to know what you give your three year old.

A.My son Xavier certainly gets all sorts of goodies added to his organic rice milk every day. What I will give you is his standard maintenance programme, that is, what I give him every day to ensure optimum health and nutrition. He has taken Eskimo Kids oil (£15.95 for 210 ml Nutri 01663 718850) since he was a small baby. It contains omega 3, 6 and 9 and is child-friendly tutti-fruiti flavoured (provided by natural lemon, orange, raspberry and cherry oils); ½ teaspoon is added to his morning and evening milk along with 10 drops twice daily of Biocare’s Vitasorb Multivitamins 30ml £9.00 (0121 433 3727); 2-3 drops twice a day of North American Herb’s BerriesFlush (30ml £21.15 Tigon 0116 235 5020), a natural source of antioxidants; ½ a teaspoon of a good probiotic in his evening milk, such as Healthbac (100g £22.35 Tigon 0116 235 5020) to support his immunity and good bacteria in his system and finally, ½ a teaspoon in the morning of colloidal silver (Sovereign Silver Hydrosol 60ml dropper top bottle £12.84 Savant 08450 606070) with its anti-fungal and antibacterial properties. Ideally it’s taken directly in the mouth for maximum efficacy, but often ends up mixed in his milk. As the flavour is pleasant, he has no hesitation taking his ‘doctored’ milk. To save contacting all the individual companies, the Nutri centre stock all the above remedies www.nutricentre.com or 0800 587 2290.
