Q. I am going on holiday to Greece soon and would love to improve the appearance of my thighs. I’m willing to follow any advice, and wondered if there is an organic cellulite cream.

A.Body-brushing is a great starting point for tackling cellulite. Before you shower, sweep the brush gently across dry skin from your feet upwards, and always in the direction of your heart. The friction stimulates the lymphatic system, helping to remove toxins and improve tone. Try Origins’ natural bristle brush with cellulite massager (£10; 0800 731 4039), which has soft bristles and wooden nodules on the reverse to massage problem areas. As you shower, alternate hot and cold water to further stimulate circulation and lymph, directing the water onto problem areas. Movement helps to eliminate toxins and pumps the lymph around the body, so exercise daily (walk briskly, swim or dance).

Replace caffeinated drinks with Dr Stuart’s Wild Nettle tea, as nettles help to remove impurities and fluid, or Detox tea, a cleansing infusion that includes dandelion root (an excellent diuretic) and burdock root and mint (99p for 20 bags; 01903 740530). You should also make sure that you eat plenty of organic fruit and vegetables.

Triple Action Cellulite Lotion, by Green People (150ml for £19.50 plus £2.50 p&p; 01403 740350), is an organic product that contains a patented herbal extract of bayberries, as well as other active ingredients, including juniper, green tea and extracts of capsicum and ginger, to stimulate blood and lymph circulation.
